Shadows of Taren
Based out of Sillmill Industrial Park, billionaire Dexter Goode’s Goode Industries resides within a giant manufacturing complex. Inside the complex, modern robotic manufacturing combined side-by-side with a slew of dedicated employees to handle the day to day operations.
Of the 157 employees, 62 are convicts on parole. The majority of workers are referred by Horizon House, the Taren City Halfway House. While many are often taken aback by the company’s willingness to hire recent parolees, Goode prides himself on giving folks a second chance.
The other side of the equation is that all the parolees know that if they slip into a life of crime again, Goode will be the first one to turn them in.
The Goode Industries Complex also has a proving ground. This is an outdoor range that can be fitted with a variety of terrain and obstacles so that new Goode Industries gear can be tested under the most stressful conditions. The Goode Industries Proving Grounds is one of the most versatile tactical and sports training centers in the world and has been used by military forces, Taren City SWAT/STAR, certain superheroes, and even the occasional bachelor party.
